Reading's 12 year old team joined our 11 year olds in capturing the Section 4
championship, defeating Gloucester 10-2 in Saturday's finale. Reading finished
sectionals undefeated, knocking off Gloucester twice, defending state champion
Peabody West, and Andover.
Each victory was a true team effort with solid pitching, smothering defense, and
hot bats throughout the lineup. Saturday's championship saw Dylan St. Hilaire
make the most of the opportunities his teammates created by hitting a grand slam

Reading now finds itself in the state's final four, competing with Pittsfield
American, Middleboro, and Wellesly to represent Massachusetts in the upcoming
New England Regional tournament.
